Teapot House

I really enjoyed spending time with Sophia. She’s a wonderful host and a very creative artist. She let me visit her art studio and see her work, which I enjoyed, and her pieces are for sale too.

We felt at home as soon as we arrived. It’s a very comfortable place, Sofia was so kind to us, and we really liked the cats.

We stayed at Teapot for one night and had a good time, but you need to be ready to adapt. The owner is friendly, and the clean room is very nice. The rooms are next to her house. There’s a private outdoor bathroom right across from the room, though the decor feels dated. Bring your own shower gel and bathroom supplies, since there were only little soap sachets. Breakfast is included, but it’s just basics, all packaged: toast, pastries, jams, coffee capsules, and tea. There’s a small kitchen with plates, glasses, and cutlery. Some yogurt and fruit would be a nice addition. Parking is very tight. There’s room for three cars, but you have to coordinate with the other guests to leave early.

Dear Madam, we were cold on the second night too, and the water was freezing again in the morning. We used the blankets you said were in the closet, but they were single duvets rather than double ones. You didn’t see that we’d used them because I put them back before we left. For both nights, we ran the small heat pump and slept in the room’s dry air. We woke with headaches, so it wasn’t a pleasant stay.
