Casa Vannucci

The location is excellent, and the apartments are attractive, with a lovely shared terrace and a quiet view over the inner courtyard despite being right in the center. But during our three-day stay, the bathroom leaked, leaving a puddle outside the shower. The host already knew about it when we arrived. The air conditioning worked only sometimes and would occasionally make a loud noise that disturbed our sleep. The host moved us to another apartment, then back to the first, but neither issue went away. He said he’d sent a technician and expected us to be home to let him in, yet the noise continued and the leak remained. We called to ask for a repair, but nobody came. The owner was outright rude on the phone and again at checkout, when we asked for a discount because of the poor service. She didn’t even respond. Despite all the problems, she never came by. It’s a shame, given the excellent location.

The only drawbacks were the spring mattress and all the insects, including mosquitoes and spiders, in the accommodation when I arrived. The hosts were welcoming and quick to respond, and I got a very warm greeting. The house, annex where I stayed, and garden with pool are lovely, though I didn’t really get a chance to use them.

The balcony looks out over Perugia’s narrow streets, while indoors it’s peaceful and not noisy at all. This beautiful house is right in the heart of the city, with a truly excellent location. The host is very kind, the key pickup is simple, and there’s really nothing to improve.

The room is a real gem in the heart of the medieval center, with period features. The owner’s availability, courtesy, and professionalism are excellent, and it’s a perfect place to enjoy Perugia fully.
