We left after declining to pay the extra €30 for a room we believed didn't exist. Then, just half an hour later, our card was charged that amount without our authorization. Our lawyer will handle things from here. We had bought Groupon coupons, but when we tried to book, we were told the offer's junior suites were sold out and that we could get a superior suite for another €30. The website described it as being on the hotel's top floor, with a private elevator and maximum privacy. When we arrived, it was immediately clear that the hotel shown online wasn't there. There were no superior suites, just identical junior suites. After talking with other guests, we found they'd all been given the same story: the 12 offer suites were gone, but for €30 more, one of the only two superior suites was supposedly available. The spa was ridiculous, dirty, and cold. They should be ashamed.

The room was small, and massages were costly extras. What they called a spa was just a tiny sauna and hot tub. The fruit basket and champagne amounted to two fruit skewers and a glass of prosecco. I thought €89 per couple was too much for what was provided, and it doesn't deserve a four-star rating. Gruppalia had described it differently. The property was on the outskirts of Perugia, not in the city center.

We had a fantastic time. Everything was very clean, the staff were great, and dinner inside the Spa was wonderful. It was the first night of this experiment with us, and it turned out really well. Everything was perfect, congratulations.

For a place rated four stars, the first thing we noticed was how dirty it was. There were cobwebs everywhere, including in the rooms, and grime here and there. Breakfast was meager and miserable, with unbranded substitute products. The Spa was just a tub of water with an unpleasant smell. It should be downgraded, because we don't understand what the four stars are based on.

The hot tub was uncomfortably hot, and the room's TV was inadequate. This definitely didn't feel like a four-star hotel.
