Hotel Due Palme

Lovely hotel, right on the beach. We had a very good stay!

The menu was delicious, homemade, generous and varied through the week, and all the staff were kind and helpful. I had a wonderful vacation at the end of August. The hotel is a little dated but very well cared for. My room was small, comfortable and very clean. The location is excellent, on the beach, a stone's throw from the center and close to the train station.

The food was excellent, and the staff were warm with us. The owner seemed a little gruff at first, but we found him kind and friendly once we got to know him. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a lovely sea view. The hotel is small and peaceful even in August, with a private garden leading straight to the beach and loungers and umbrellas to use. The only drawback for me as someone with a sweet tooth was that dessert was rarely on the menu. We stayed at Hotel Due Palme in August 2022 and would love to come back this year.

Walking down from the hotel garden to the beach early each morning and setting off along the shore as the sun came up was priceless. The hotel is right on the beach, with a garden full of loungers, and everyone was very friendly. Dinner always offered a meat or fish option, and the cooking was delicate and full of flavor. The sea bream was especially good. At breakfast, coffee came from the cafeteria, with a great buffet of tarts and other desserts; savory food was made fresh when requested. Our quiet room faced the sea as promised, and had effective remote controlled air conditioning, a large TV, and a standard shower. The cleaning staff did a good job. The price was right, too.
