I had a lovely week at Hotel Elvezia. Lunch and dinner were especially nice, with the chef using seasonal, local ingredients. The room was very clean, and the staff were sweet and kind, even though the receptionist didn't speak much English. It's only about a three minute walk to the beach, and the city centre is close as well. Nights were quiet, so we could rest well. Thank you guys, Grazie Mille!

The ceiling was covered in mold, and there were dead bugs on the floor. Our room had no heat, cracked walls, and broken bathroom tiles with little pieces set in place without grout to fill the hole. This place needs to be shut down. I don't usually take time to write reviews, but I had to this time. Any hotel management should know how to treat customers, and this felt like some sort of crack house. I hate that I have to give it one star!

The restaurant food was really tasty, though the courses came too close together. The people were very nice and helpful, and the hotel itself was quiet and pleasant. Parking is limited, and using the garage costs extra. The WiFi was slow and didn't work in the breakfast area.

The night porter was a big help, finding us a table at a local restaurant just before it was about to close. The price was very reasonable, the place was spotless, and breakfast was nice.

The staff were very courteous and ready to help with anything we needed. It's a wonderful place, within walking distance of the beach.
