The garden was lovely, with a view over all of Pesaro, and the bedroom and bathroom were clean. The building has a classic look and is very well maintained, and the owner is sweet. The whole area is photogenic. I only stayed one night because my itinerary was tight, but I'd definitely recommend it.

The staff are really nice, and the natural surroundings are lovely and quiet. The pool is nice too, though you'll need to bring or buy a swimming cap. Our room smelled like an old castle and felt quite humid, which could be a problem if that bothers you. The shower could use improvement. After each use, water gets everywhere and stays there.

We spent a week at Il Pignocco as a couple with our dog at the end of August, and had a fantastic time. Francesca and Anna were great hosts, sharing ideas about what to see and do, including how to find the dog beach and what to expect in San Marino. A week wasn't nearly enough. We'll have to return and see the rest!

We spent three weeks in Torre Feronia, living the Italian way, ‘Il dolci far niente’. The place has three floors and a private roof terrace, with a practical yet romantic feel. Our bedroom looked magnificent and the bed was wonderfully comfortable. We spent lots of time soaking in the bath with its water spouts. The only downside was that our stay was too short, so we've already booked four weeks for next year.

The tower suite was stunning, with lovely views, a comfortable bed and a huge Jacuzzi bathtub. We loved every bit of our stay and hope to return for longer.
