La casa di Alvy

A totally different kind of experience. Book before you arrive. The owner is very kind and helpful.

Amazing.

We spent one night here. Check-in was handled through WhatsApp, and the owner was attentive and available virtually, checking in often to make sure things were okay. He even left a welcome drink in the kitchen fridge. Entry used a phone-based virtual key for the gate, main door, and room door, which was very modern and impressive. The room was clean, basic, and decent, but sound carried in from the street right by the window. The air conditioner made odd noises and didn’t seem properly maintained. Breakfast was disappointing compared with other places. The bedroom and bathroom are fine for a few nights at most, though I missed the attention to detail I’ve seen at similar properties. I found the price high for the overall stay, especially in August. I wouldn’t return based on my usual preferences. Parking is outside the property, but a space can be found. The area isn’t particularly pretty, so choose a spot carefully and watch for parking restrictions. This is only my personal, mostly subjective impression, and doesn’t reflect the business’s actual quality. From the owner’s response, I got the sense my review wasn’t well received. He seems to take opportunities to answer customers unkindly, showing a different side beyond the politeness. Still, see the place for yourself and make up your own mind. Don’t rely on a local Google guide like me, despite my 7 million views and 10 years of experience.

The room and bathroom were small, but spotlessly clean. Radiators stayed on and kept the temperature just right, and the room had a TV, air conditioning, linens, a hairdryer, and spare blankets. Breakfast included coffee pods, croissants, and packaged cookies. There are two rooms but only one small table for breakfast, though we coordinated fine with the other guests. We never met the staff in person, but they were friendly and very attentive. They gave us all the information and support needed for online check-in, with the gate and doors opened through the web app. We were also welcomed with a bottle of local wine and two small bottles of water, which came in handy.
