We loved the sea and the natural setting, and barely needed the car. Our family, with children aged 7 and 2, stayed from 6 to 8 August 2013. The beach has lovely sand, and the campsite has a pool with slides, an ice cream bar, an ATM, free little shuttle buses, and free sun loungers on the beach. Reception staff were friendly and spoke very good English. There’s even live music, along with a shop selling fresh fish, meat, vegetables, fruit, cheese, bread, and camping supplies, all at reasonable prices. A few things took patience. Ants and other insects were a problem, so ask reception to treat your pitch before you arrive. Most people speak only Italian, which made the restaurant, shop, and beach harder to navigate. The price felt high, and the WiFi limited you to three devices. I couldn’t get online for two days because buying more access wasn’t possible. At the restaurant, one stressed person handled both orders and payments, so we faced waits of a couple of hours. Only the middle section of the beach is for campsite guests. Bring ant powder, cash, and an Italian phrasebook, and be ready to wait. We still loved the place.

There’s a lot here for a family holiday: its own beach, an outdoor pool, kids’ club, bar, restaurant, takeaway pizza, fresh produce and fish shops, plus a small supermarket. In high season there’s live music every night, and there’s also a cocktail bar looking out over the beach. You can book a doctor’s appointment at certain times, use the hair and beauty salon, or arrange excursions and boat trips. It’s a lovely holiday village with everything we needed, and the pizza is so good!

Roberto Sebastiani made us feel very welcome and spoke excellent English. The staff were friendly throughout, and we really enjoyed our stay. The beach was lovely, and the toilets and showers were spotless. Vieste is easy to reach by bus.

The beach is great, and the camping village has plenty going for it. The free WiFi only works in a small spot by the office at one end of the grounds, and the place is quite expensive. Music around the pool, beach, and bars was also played far too loudly.

Lovely views, and the on-site Enzo restaurant is good. The facilities were all in good condition, and there are houses in different standards. We were able to get a good night's rest.
