For almost 2K euro for four nights in August, I’d expect the property to communicate with its guests. I can’t understand how it’s managed so badly yet gets so many good reviews. My rating is mainly about the manager’s unprofessional behavior. We tried to reach him for days, then finally got a message saying, “I’ll get back to you during the day.” After that, we heard nothing.

The beach is only a short walk away, and it’s a lovely place to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. Marina Bay Sea Relais is modern, spotless, and beautifully positioned above the sea, with breathtaking views. Everyone on staff was welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived, and breakfast was fresh, tasty, and a great start to the day. We also appreciated the roomy shower and bathroom, much more spacious than at many other places. It was a peaceful, stylish stay, and we’d love to return.

Gianmarco is perfect. The rooms are new and nicely designed, right on the beach, and you can rent a boat from them too. It’s a great little marina and a unique place to stay for a few days.

Getting into the old town for food and drinks is an easy walk, though the stairs are steep, and there are decent places to eat on the beach too. The reserved parking right outside was handy, and check-in went perfectly. Our main mistake was booking the “junior suite”: it’s about the size of a converted garage beside the main building, where our friend had one of the four regular-sized rooms. The bed was comfortable but took up most of the space, so we couldn’t leave our luggage open. The bathroom was decent, though everything looked its age despite seeming recently built. There’s a very nice terrace and a patch of fine sand for sunbathing, so we had little reason to spend time in the tiny room. The beach right in front looks appealing, but nobody swims there because boats launch from it. The swimming beach is a short walk to the right, less than two minutes.

This is a hidden gem in a quiet spot directly on the harbor beach, and I highly recommend it. The modern apartment has all the essentials, and breakfast can be brought to your room or terrace if you ask. The owner is friendly and happy to help with requests. There’s free street parking in front of the house, and the swimming beach is a 20-meter walk away.
