The grounds feel like a heavenly garden, with a path winding between olive trees. The view over Peschichi is stunning. The property is built on terraces, with the restaurant at the top, the pool in the middle, and parking below. The rooms for two and the family rooms are a bit small. In Chamber 2, the family room is upstairs with a steep staircase and no barriers along it, which felt a bit dangerous.

We found it easy to feel comfortable here. Francesco and his wife really understand what guests need, and the whole staff was incredibly friendly. The room could be made completely dark, and the air conditioner was great and very quiet. Dinner is served at eight every day, with several courses, a good selection of wine, and fish or meat on alternating days. There’s no menu card, but the host takes very good care of you, and it isn’t expensive. I still wish I hadn’t skipped dinner two days before we arrived. Breakfast was so extensive that I didn’t need lunch during my stay. The children loved the pool, and their simple carbonara, pesto, or tomato pasta dinner with ice cream for dessert was really reasonably priced. Life can be that simple. Thank you.

This was the most expensive and worst meal we had during our week in Peschici. We’d read about the restaurant in the NYT and went in with high hopes, but dinner felt overpriced and disappointing. The fried fish was dry and didn’t seem especially fresh. The pasta was good, though not worth 40 euros per person without drinks. The service felt cold and pretentious. We were handed the wine list and asked to choose before we knew what we’d be eating. The waiter wasn’t friendly, didn’t explain the dishes, and spent much of the meal watching our table in an uncomfortable way. The hotel itself looked lovely, but I can’t comment on staying there.
