The house, pool and surroundings are lovely, but getting there was a dealbreaker for us. After one night we found another rental, because we knew we didn’t want to make that drive again. We weren’t refunded for the other eight nights. The road has very tight turns, and our car slid backward several times on the gravel, with the tires spinning. In rain, after dark or with traffic coming the other way, I can’t see it being passable. We’re calm, experienced drivers, so this wasn’t a matter of inexperience. The listing should explain how difficult that road is. We’d planned to spend our holiday here, but after driving up once we were sure we didn’t want to repeat it. More transparency in the description is essential.

We paid Interchalet for two weeks, but the house was unreachable by car unless you have a beat-up vehicle with high clearance and don’t mind scratches. The slope is so steep that going up or down felt downright dangerous, and we weren’t willing to risk it. We tried to rebook locally, but the alternatives offered in the same area weren’t acceptable. Interchalet wasn’t cooperative, so we drove to the coast at our own expense. Over €1000 wasted. Never again.
