We loved our stay at il Giglio. The peaceful surroundings were beautiful, and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Mario went out of his way to help us find the BnB, about 15 mins drive from the nearest train station, and showed us around Motta d'Affermo too. He's a great host, and il Giglio reflects that. I'd happily stay again and recommend it to anyone wanting a taste of authentic Sicilian life away from the usual paths.

Getting to the accommodation would be easier with a four-wheel-drive or at least a higher vehicle, though it's not essential. The views are fantastic and the rooms are clean. The owners were very friendly and helpful, quick to answer questions or sort out concerns. The food was excellent, too. The menu is small but everything is top quality, and the owner cooks himself using only regional and homegrown produce.

Erika and Mario made us feel so welcome from the minute we arrived, and the service stayed warm and attentive throughout. We were here as a family with three children. The menu is small, but the food was outstanding. Our room was clean, the view was lovely, and we had a wonderful stay. A beautiful place we'd happily recommend. ๐ฎ๐นโค๏ธ๐ฏ
