You’ll need a car, as there are no shops or restaurants within walking distance. That suited us fine for a peaceful escape in nature. The countryside is beautiful, with lovely views over the hills and fields. The rooms are simple but comfortable, the water pressure is great, and the mountain water is delicious. Fresh figs and other fruit growing around the property were a highlight. We even spotted deer and wild boar nearby.

Really quiet, with a beautiful setting and a super clean, comfy room. Breakfast was nice too. They didn’t have to let us use the heater, but they did, and the room was very warm. Grazie 1000!

The hostess is excellent at making you feel welcome and giving advice. The place is clean, simple and comfortable, and convenient for parking; the kitchenette is fully equipped. It’s all set amid the natural beauty of the wonderful park. Special mention for the IL TORCHIO restaurant in Pettorano sul Gizio, where the cooking is truly high quality and reflects the distinctive character of the location.
