Albergo Ristorante Ragno D'Oro

The terrace and room views are breathtaking, and the location is central but still quiet. My room was clean and spacious, and Enrica cooked with love every night. Gastone was an incredibly welcoming host. I really enjoyed my stay at the Ragno d’Oro and would recommend this charming, authentic hotel and restaurant.

The food turned out to be the best part. The fresh, tasty cold cuts were great, I loved the fried porcini mushrooms, and the kids’ pappardelle al sugo di cinghiale was well made. The rest of us enjoyed the pappardelle ai funghi porcini too. The terrace view is stunning, and the corner with toys helped us keep the kids occupied. But the garden needs a lot of work, the old place looked and smelled uncared for, and the restrooms were dirty and poorly maintained, with no changing room. I nearly left, but it was lunchtime and the kids were already upset. We’d chosen the Albergo Ristorante Ragno D'Oro only because we needed somewhere dog friendly, and the owner had said on the phone that pets were allowed. One person handled the service and was not friendly. I respect older people, but I ended up being rude because I wouldn’t accept the lack of basic kindness and respect. His behavior wasn’t okay. The bill was reasonable for the food quality, but much too high given the place and service.

The owners and staff were so attentive that we felt special, and the views were incredible. We had a very good dinner at a reasonable price. We’re going back tomorrow to play bocce with the owners, and maybe some outdoor ping pong too. Muchisimas gracias to Pedro & Gastrome for making us feel so welcome.

I really enjoyed my stay. Gastone was a lovely host, and the hotel has an amazing view.
