A really disappointing stay. The stars had made me expect a dream place, but it was a bad experience. The room was cold in the morning, and I waited more than four hours before it felt warm enough to eat in, still wearing a jacket. The view is over the highway below, and I don't understand what is supposed to be so great about it. I was charged 17.50 for gas and electricity from 4 PM to 8 AM, which felt like a rip-off. There were cat hairs in the bed. I didn't shower because I was afraid of flooding the bathroom. The kitchen had no salt, sugar, dish soap, or even a sponge, and there was no TV. It felt like the place was focused on saving money on even the small things for guests. Also, the boiler is inside, and its constant switching on and off disturbed the peace and relaxation.

Once you get there, it's a dream!!! The view is priceless, and the hillside position keeps it breezy, with decent temperatures even in the hottest months. The place is clean and well looked after. The one drawback is the narrow access road, though driving carefully and using common sense makes it manageable. The easier way is to come downhill from the Annunciata, where the narrow stretch is shorter and quite doable. The hard part is climbing up from the Valle, so avoid that route. Don't bring a camper or van, and definitely nothing larger than a Station Wagon at most.

The views are breathtaking, and the dining room has a charming, original feel. Our apartment was beautiful and clean. The food was excellent, and the owners and staff were all friendly.
