We spent a wonderful week in the Sorrento hills. The staff, including Luisa, Salvatore, and Mario, cared for the house and grounds and made sure guests had what they needed without getting in the way. The food was lovingly prepared and presented, and the whole stay felt luxurious. This is a real agroturismo that produces as much of its own fare as possible. The 500-year-old estate had been nearly ruined, but has been lovingly restored into a comfortable modern agroturismo. And yes, there are roosters.

It felt more like being welcomed by old family friends than staying at a hotel. The family greeted us warmly from the moment we arrived, and their generosity and care showed in all the little details. The rooms were cozy, the surroundings peaceful, and their local suggestions were spot on. Getting around can be tricky and limited, especially if you want to explore freely, so renting a car or scooter is a good idea. We left rested and grateful, with beautiful memories we’ll always cherish.

I gave the room 5 stars, though I didn’t stay there and don’t want to lower its rating. We came for the restaurant. Mario picked us up from a local hotel, was friendly, and showed us to our table. The menu may be limited, but the food was tasty and good value, with fantastic specials. It definitely feels like a local restaurant and makes its own food. Our server, Roseanna, if I’ve got the spelling right, was friendly and helpful, and knew the food and wine well.

At Antico Casale, we felt cared for from the moment we arrived. Nonna Luisa and her sweet granddaughter bring so much warmth to the place, and the friendly, attentive staff were always ready with tips for local sights, walks, and hidden gems. The restaurant was outstanding, serving authentic dishes made with fresh ingredients from the garden. Their homemade limoncello was divine. The hilltop setting looks over Naples and the sea, with peaceful surroundings and breathtaking views. Our elegant, cozy room had a very comfortable bed and was spotless after daily cleaning. Lemon trees fill the lush garden, and the citrus scent, mountain views, and quiet atmosphere made it a lovely place to unwind. Antico Casale is a beautiful, peaceful retreat with genuine hospitality, whether you want to explore the region or relax in nature. A true hidden treasure on the Sorrento coast.

Mario, Salvatore and Nonna-Luisa made us feel so welcome, and the service was top-notch. The restaurant was outstanding, and we loved the house wine. The property has loads of character and Italian rustic charm, with a scenic view over the coastline. There were soccer goals the kids and I used every day. I already miss the place!
