Bed and Lemons

Breakfast was plentiful and delicious every morning, with pastries, omelettes, toasties, yogurt and even fresh figs from the garden. Rosa and Giovanni were excellent hosts, giving us lifts to and from the train station and making sure we had everything we needed. The room was lovely and clean, with its own bathroom, and the shared kitchen was really well equipped. We also loved relaxing on the beautiful balcony, looking out over the bay and lemon groves. The location in Piano worked well without a car: it’s a 10-minute walk to the bus stop, then a short ride into Sorrento.

The owner went out of her way for us again and again. She insisted on taking us to the train station and picking us up whenever we went on excursions, and she even drove us to restaurants and collected us after dinner. Our room had an incredible view and was tastefully decorated, and the whole place was beautiful. We had such a lovely time at Bed and Lemons. Thank you so much!

They made me feel safe and welcome, like part of the family. The hosts gave me all the details I needed to enjoy my stay and even sent me off with wonderful lemons. The best hosts I could have hoped for.

Rosa was such a pleasant, upbeat host. She knew the area well and had a lovely continental breakfast waiting for us each morning. From the terrace, the views stretched from the mountains to the coast, and the citrus scent was always in the air. My wife likes getting a feel for local life when we travel, so I was a bit bemused when our cab dropped us at the gate of a lemon grove. It really is a working grove, with the owners’ home on site and separate accommodation to rent. The location was a handy starting point for the train to Rome, Amalfi, Positano and elsewhere. We’d definitely come back!
