Hotel Cosmomare

The staff were so nice and helpful, and I really loved staying here. We had a large balcony with great mountain views, while the hotel itself faces the sea and has incredible views. Being a little outside Sorrento also meant the area was less busy than the city. I’d absolutely recommend it and will most likely come back 😊

The staff were VERY kind, and breakfast was provided, which helped after we woke up feeling so sick. Everyone was coughing at breakfast, though. We left disappointed by the room’s condition and by how ill we became. Grazie mille for the hospitality, but there are lots of hotels in this beautiful part of Italy, so I’d choose carefully if you want to avoid getting sick on your travels. I stayed for one night on July 2nd with my brother. The room needs upkeep: the shower door was broken, and there was damage around the space. These seemed like simple fixes, which made it frustrating to find them in such a beautiful location. The AC worked very poorly, we didn’t sleep well, and the beds were NOT comfortable. The one star I’d give the room is for the fabulous balcony and ocean view, which we specifically booked by paying for the “sea-view” room. My brother and I were in good health before going to bed, but woke up terribly sick. The only things we’d done that day were visit the nearby public beach and get supper, and we mostly just used the room to change and sleep. I believe the AC needs maintenance because whatever came out of it affected our lungs while we were trying to rest. I woke repeatedly and could hardly breathe. I was confused and thought I might be having an allergic reaction. Early in the morning I got up, opened the door, and switched the AC off because we were so uncomfortable and I didn’t know what else to try. I felt a little better after leaving and walking to the train station the following afternoon. I had to sit with this for a minute before writing, because I was upset and ill when we left.

The view from our terrace was breathtaking, and the room was cleaned spotlessly every day. My friends and I stayed for a full week and were fascinated by the hotel. The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful, always willing to share local transport tips. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the nearest train station, then a quick 5-minute ride to Sorrento. The service made the week really enjoyable.

We had a great stay for 3 nights. The sea view from our room was breathtaking, and breakfast was nice. There was always someone at reception to help, and the staff were very friendly. We’d love to come back.
