The buffet food became repetitive quickly, and it was often lukewarm rather than hot or particularly fresh. We ate out several times, tempted by the great local restaurants in Sorrento. The hotel is some distance from town, but the shuttle is handy if you book a place ahead. The views are amazing, the grounds are beautifully kept, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. It’s a very relaxing hotel, with two good pools, though the water in the “relax pool” is freezing. Our room was clean and comfortable. Some parts feel dated and could use investment, but that didn’t spoil the stay. The Wi-Fi and TV were practically useless, which we found made the holiday more relaxing. It’s worth considering if you want a chilled-out break.

The TUI staff were exceptional and are the only reason I’m giving this four stars. Hotel staff were helpful, courteous, and professional, but the place doesn’t feel four star in 2025 apart from the service. Reception still looks grand, yet the rooms haven’t been updated for years and a lot of things need maintenance. Meals had plenty of variety but were mediocre, with many buffet-style evenings. Good coffee and tea were missing, except at breakfast, where the instant coffee and tea were very poor. Since it’s a 20 minutes drive from Sorrento centre, the provided transport matters if you want to explore. It’s often fully booked, and despite what we were told, they don’t add extra transport when that happens. Most excursions were good value, budget circa £100 pp/day, though you could save money by taking time to arrange them yourself.

The staff were great and the hotel was very clean, with lovely views. It’s not too far from Sorrento, and there’s a free shuttle there. The food was a bit hit and miss, but decent overall, and drinks were reasonably priced. Rooms were fine, though you could hear everyone in the corridors. Staff were good, but could have been more attentive about drinks during meals.

We’ve just come back from this hotel and loved our time in Sorrento, Italy. The staff were amazing, really kind and helpful. The free buses are useful, but you have to book them 24 hours ahead, and the hotel is far from Sorrento centre. The rooms were okay but a little dusty, and the food was okay too, not great. There were loads of mosquitoes, especially in the lunch area. The hotel could use a bit more upgrading.
