Villa Eugenia

Our room was really clean and nice, and the staff were so helpful. It's a great place, and I'd gladly recommend it to anyone.

We had a lovely stay as a group of eight adults and five children. Rosa and her husband were so kind, and the villa itself is gorgeous. I'd like to come back as soon as I can, maybe during the summer.

The kitchen had an ant infestation, which the owner already knew about, and the wood-fired oven was off limits for reasons nobody explained. The house itself was beautiful, but it was terribly dirty, as if it hadn't been properly cleaned. The sheets smelled damp, and the bedspreads had dust and hair on them. We even found socks under the beds, buried in what looked like years of dust. One of the three bathrooms leaked and was only partly usable, despite there being 12 of us. There were ongoing sewer problems throughout the house. It's absurd to treat paying guests this way.

The ants were the worst part. We couldn't leave food or anything else in the kitchen or living room, because within about 20 minutes they were all over the place. There was also a persistent musty smell and sewer water kept backing up. Dust was everywhere, the sheets were stained and worn, the curtains were burnt, and we found old socks under a bed. This villa may have had a beautiful, grand past, and it even has an indoor elevator, which luckily doesn't work. Looking at the facts and earlier reviews, it seems nothing has changed. It felt like a decoy. I won't go on. Highly not recommended!
