Home Town at Spanish Steps

The apartment has the basics covered, including a safe, washing machine, gas stove, oven, microwave and fridge. The furnishings are simple but useful, and the place is quiet and pleasant. Shops and supermarkets are close by, with plenty of bus lines right outside. The location is the big draw: Trevi Fountain is a 2-minute walk, the Spanish Steps 5 minutes, the Colosseum 20 minutes and the Vatican 25 minutes away.

There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus a sofa bed in the living room and three TVs. The beds were good, and the apartment is in a very convenient spot. There were lots of mosquitoes, though. They left coffee pods, but the coffee machine leaks, and the hotel manager hasn't responded.

The only good thing was being near the center. It was very hot, around 32 degrees, and the air conditioning didn't work. We asked for it to be fixed, waited five hours for a technician who never came, then were told someone would come the next morning. Nobody showed up until 5:00 PM the following day. The owners showed little concern. The coffee machine didn't work, and the washing machine's power button worked only in one position. There was mold on the kitchen wall too, among other issues. Expensive and not worth it. Look elsewhere. Be careful with this company, which has seven apartments in the same building.
