The lane up to the place is narrow, but once there, it’s a treat. We found a beautiful apartment with two large bedrooms, plus a sort of anteroom with a sofa bed off one of them. Everything was provided, and the staff were incredibly helpful. Such a warm welcome, too. Highly recommend it as a stay and a great base for exploring Piazza Almerina.

Out in the countryside, it’s wonderfully peaceful, though still only a few kilometers from the historic center. The charming apartment has three delightful rooms, and everything was impeccably clean and orderly. A friendly young couple manages it, and it comes with a private parking space, mosquito nets, a fan, a stove, a television, and a washing machine with the necessary products. There’s also a piano in the living room for anyone who’s musically inclined. The bathroom has towels, a hairdryer, and soaps; in the kitchen there’s a gas stove, dishes, pots, pans, a refrigerator, an oven, and a moka pot. Highly recommended!

The owners were kind, friendly, and helpful, and the apartment was lovely and clean. We had everything we needed during our stay at Apartment Mariana in Piazza Armerina last week, and enjoyed it very much.
