Holiday home Podere Schioppello

Our family spent four days at Podere Schiopello for our small wedding celebration after getting married in Perugia, and it was a magical stay. Tanja made all the planning and communication so easy. She was helpful throughout and clearly put her heart into making the day wonderful. I trusted her completely, and the decorations and table were exactly how I wanted them. The food was amazing, and my family still talks about it and remembers it fondly. We also had a lovely stay beyond the wedding. The Willa has an amazing view, and everyone woke up for the sunrise at least once. The apartments were clean and cozy, with everything we needed. The host was always ready with help and advice on where to go, what to see, and where to shop for good products. You should visit their restaurant too. The food is delicious, and the waiters speak English and are kind and helpful. The owners took our Italian wedding adventure beyond what we expected. We’ll remember it for life. Thank you for everything!

AWFUL. The worst part was the owners’ attitude. Right after we arrived, as soon as we got out of the car, Tanja and Francesco asked for our IDs and the deposit. They were cold and unwelcoming, and I felt attacked as soon as I stepped onto the property. During the day they walked around staring at us like vultures, as though we were always doing something wrong. It made for a very unpleasant experience. The house itself had plenty of problems too. The heating system is a joke, insects were everywhere along with rats and an annoying cat, and the Wi-Fi only worked just outside the house, not indoors. Hot water was hard to come by, so go ahead if you like cold showers. If you want a nice vacation in the beautiful middle of Italy, I’d suggest choosing somewhere else.

Lovely views and a beautiful surrounding area, and the pool was nice too. There was no breakfast or dinner offered.
