The hosts were friendly, and the villa had everything we needed. They provided a really good quality cot and highchair when we asked. The views from the pool are stunning.

The apartment itself was cool and nicely furnished, but dust was everywhere, even on the local information leaflets. I had to wash all the plates, glasses, dishes, and cutlery before using them. The €80 cleaning fee didn't feel justified. The dishwasher and washing machine both failed, and the attempted repairs didn't work. Water also leaked from the kitchen baseboard whenever we used the sink, so for the whole week we kept putting down rags and taking them up to dry the floor. Despite all that, nobody offered a discount or anything similar. The setting has a lot going for it: green surroundings, views over hills and the lake, a lovely forest nearby, stone farmhouse style apartments, and a large panoramic pool. But the lack of upkeep made the stay a bad experience. On arrival, the exterior was cluttered with junk, machinery, and abandoned things, giving the impression the place was under construction or in the middle of a move. The photos didn't match what we found. The pool is beautiful, but there were so many bees and wasps that my daughter was stung by a wasp while swimming. The place shown in the photos would be worth the price. What we actually found wasn't.

My last vacation days were miserable. I didn't enjoy a single moment here. The host was rude and intrusive, constantly bothering us over trivial things, and he yelled in my face until I asked him to lower his voice. He also made it clear that Italians weren't welcome. His wife's relatives had taken over the farmhouse, and it was obvious we were bothering them. They even smoked cigarettes in the pool, though there was no no-smoking sign. The pool was unusable because it was full of wasps, and there was a huge beehive in the shower column that somehow nobody noticed. We couldn't relax by the pool or smoke in the outdoor common areas. Appalling doesn't cover it. If you're hoping to recharge, don't book here. Why rent the place if guests can't enjoy it?
