Ligure Residence

The staff were super friendly and helpful, and I liked having a coffee bar and pool to hang out at. There’s also a bike room with basic tools and an outdoor bike washing spot. Still, the apartment felt quite small, and things are getting a bit old. We were also charged a cleaning fee at the end that we hadn’t known about. For what you get, I found it too expensive.

The bike setup is a huge bonus: there’s a very large, secure keypad entry room with a stand and tools for storage and maintenance, and you can ride straight from the hotel to trails. I’ve ridden road and mountain in plenty of top spots, and this is an A+ destination for riding. The hotel also has bikes to use, and the old Pietra town center square is only a few minutes away by bike, with shops and people watching. There are lots of restaurants nearby too. The location works well for the beach, groceries, and restaurants on foot. The building is clean and well maintained, and our room was great. The double-pane windows kept it quiet, the new AC worked very well, the kitchen and bathroom appliances were fine, there was always hot water, the wifi was excellent, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were excellent, friendly, and happy to help. Highly recommend.

We absolutely love coming back here every year. Jack and his family are incredibly helpful, and the bike room is really handy with everything you need. The pool is wonderful on a hot day, and the Ligure Residence is great value for the price. It’s super close to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Pietra Ligure has become a regular trip for us for mountain biking and beach time.

The people running the place were accommodating, friendly, and very gracious, which is why I’m giving it five stars. Our stay was an anomaly, so I hope the renovations mean future guests have a fantastic time. Enjoy your stay, and then head south to Villa Giove, it’s OUTSTANDING! We had a fun stay in a great location with great staff, but I wish there’d been more communication about the renovation. My Italian is pretty bad, so maybe that was on me. They were banging away on the ground floor for nearly a month, and the other guests were moved to a crowded top floor. It was really noisy and we couldn’t sleep. Still, the hosts were lovely.
