I did appreciate a few things, like the bread that everyone could cut for themselves, even at dinner, which helped avoid waste. There were also always fish options. But the plastic tablecloth and paper napkins don’t fit the fairly high price. Luckily, I didn’t need to use the air conditioning, which I would have reluctantly paid extra for. I’ve never needed it before, and this was the fourth hotel I’d stayed at in the last three months. I’ll explain later why I didn’t give the room any stars.

The rooms were really cold. The heating was set to 5, but the radiators were cold in the morning and again when we returned in the evening. They took about 10 minutes to start warming up, so the room stayed cold for a while. It seemed like they turned off the central heating overnight while we slept and during the day while we were out to save money. We were there in January, outside peak season, and the service was friendly, but breakfast was still far too meager. No fruit, juice, muesli, or eggs, just bad coffee or tea, one kind of roll and toast, one jam, butter, cheese, and cold cuts. Dinner reminded me of school cafeteria food from back in the day.

A dip in the pool was a real pleasure, especially with it being cleaned so regularly. The hotel was clean, and the rooms were well maintained with small balconies. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast had a buffet, plus eggs and pancakes cooked to order. The food was always carefully prepared, with meat and fish choices for lunch and dinner. Worth it!

The only thing that bothered us was the bathroom. It had no bidet, just a hand shower, and the shower arm wasn’t fixed. Otherwise, it was a positive stay. The staff were welcoming, kind, and helpful, which made everything peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast was excellent, with sweet and savory options, including food for guests with allergies.
