The grounds and buildings are remarkable, with lawns, a pool, and views across the valley to the mountains. It’s quiet here, and would suit a family weekend or a pilgrim’s overnight stop. Gino, his wife, and daughter made us feel comfortable, and dinner was delicious with a great breakfast the next morning. Our room was huge. It was very hot outside, but the ceiling fan kept it cool enough, so the lack of air conditioning wasn’t a problem. The bathroom fixtures were modern, clean, and attractive.

The family who runs this Agriturismo really shows how much care they put into welcoming visitors. We stayed in a clean, spacious room with an authentic feel, and the beds were very comfortable. It sits on top of a mountain, with lovely views over the valley. You can book the spa room privately, with an infrared sauna, steam sauna, and hot tub, for an additional charge. There’s also an electric car charger for an extra fee. I’d recommend the pasta-making workshop: you learn traditional Italian pasta-making, then eat what you’ve made with the other guests.

The food here was fresh and local, and every dish had its own flavor and came as a little surprise. Service was excellent, and the rooms had a comfortable feel, with a simple, old-fashioned setup. If you need a quiet break from the city and want to be close to nature, this is a good place to disconnect for a while.

The family Martinelli were so kind to us. We stayed one night on our pilgrimage and had a great time. All the food was homemade and organic, and they could make it vegetarian when we asked. It was delicious. Grazie mille!
