Country House Villa La Farfalla

The quiet and cool air in the woods made for a really good night’s sleep in comfortable beds. We came hoping to relax and recharge for a few days, away from the always-connected rush of life, and that’s exactly what we did. The farmhouse has small apartments as well as simple, welcoming rooms in the main building. There’s a lovely pool for swimming or sunbathing, a playground, and tables for outdoor activities. The restaurant is for guests only and serves tasty seasonal food, like tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. Breakfast has a good mix of sweets, fruit, and savory choices. The owner is kind and attentive. I also appreciated the quality soap, conditioner, and body lotion in the bathroom, and the pool towel in the welcome kit. There’s a shared room with a fireplace where you can play chess too. We really valued the care for both guests and the environment.

We spent two days here, April 22nd and 23rd, for a baptism, and the well-arranged rooms let all our relatives stay in the same place while still having their own privacy. It’s a renovated farmhouse with a charming little chapel inside. Miranda was welcoming, helpful, and very kind, ready to meet guests’ needs. She’s a tireless, professional, positive hostess who’s always smiling. The restaurant uses local ingredients, and the chef serves local dishes, including truffle omelette and potatoes with cabbage, roast beef, and delicious gnocchi alla sorrentina. The property has a large garden in the woods, a pool for warmer days, a small children’s park, and a lounge with a fireplace where people can gather. It’s also a lovely area for walks through the woods and enjoying the unspoiled surroundings. A great place to unplug from city life or celebrate an occasion with loved ones.

We had lunch by the pool, with everything prepared by the villa’s chef. The price, service, and quality all satisfied us. Staff were kind and helpful, around when needed but never intrusive. The farmhouse and villa are beautiful, secluded in the woods, and both the rooms and outdoor areas are well maintained. Families would enjoy it, with lots for children to do, including a trampoline, slide, and plenty of pool games. A very good experience.

It feels like staying in a castle, with comforts like a pool, games, and a restaurant. Miranda, the owner, was incredibly kind and made us feel at ease from the start. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent, made with quality products. Such a timeless place to get away and relax. We’ll come back!
