La Bouganville e Il Gelsomino

The owner is a lovely lady and the accommodation is cute, but the stay was a disaster from beginning to end. We chose it for private parking and had a soft top, but there was only a centimetre on each side getting in. The owner said we could park by the church, nearly 1 kilometre away. Inside, I kept bumping into things. You'd need to be 5ft or smaller to get around comfortably. The bathroom is down 3 steep steps, and my wife, who is 5ft tall, couldn't get under the shower head. We were shown how to use the gas stove and its connections under the sink. We couldn't go out to eat because there was no way we could get back to the house in the dark. I turned on the washing machine under the sink using the gas cooker connection, and it filled slowly. In the middle of the night I got up and found the place flooded. I spent a couple of hours mopping, putting wet carpets outside to dry, and obviously didn't sleep well. We cleaned again in the morning, then had to buy clothes because our bags had got soaked overnight. I called the owner but got no reply. At that point we just wanted to leave, get dry clothes, and have a coffee. Since then, the agent emailed saying we caused a problem, and the owner asked why we used the washing machine. We were flooded by a faulty machine, cleaned it up, and still got grief. If you're a hobbit it's okay. Otherwise, go somewhere else.
