Really nice people, a lovely place, and good food. Highly recommend it.
At lunch, you get a fixed-price menu. The spit-roasted meat is good, but the other dishes are much more than ordinary fare. The maltagliati alla "pita vecia" (old hen) and fennel with prosecco were excellent. The owner is kind, friendly, and knows the food well, and the staff are extremely welcoming. Definitely worth trying.
The price is fair for what you get, and a visit is well worth it. It's a distinctive little place serving the signature dish of the culinary tradition of the upper Marca Trevigiana. There aren't many seats, but that suits the care they put into cooking for a small group. Dinner feels less like eating at an inn and more like being in an old friend's tavern, and it leaves you with a lovely memory.
We had a wonderful Easter lunch and will be back soon. The owner added to the pleasure of the day, and the atmosphere was so warm. The wine was excellent, and the food quality was truly top notch. The local dishes were prepared according to tradition and felt unlike anything else.
For €25, the menu includes an appetizer, first course, skewered meat, side dishes, and dessert. Wine costs extra. The home cooking is excellent. Give it a try, and it's a good idea to book ahead.
