La Locanda del Moro

Our family of four spent two wonderful weeks at La Locanda del Moro. The kids had room to explore in a spacious, safe setting, which let us relax, and Monica, Danilo and Pilar made us feel warmly welcomed. Their suggestions for local attractions and activities added a lot to the trip. The property was immaculate and comfortable, and the views were stunning. Each morning brought another beautiful Tuscan landscape. We left with lovely family memories and an even greater fondness for Tuscany. It was an unforgettable holiday for us.

We spent nearly three weeks here while I worked remotely, and waking up to a whole amphitheatre of mountains was incredible. The place is easily among the most beautiful I’ve ever visited. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and so easy to deal with, which made a huge difference. I’d give it more than five stars if I could. Highly recommended.

We had a brilliant week in Il Lonfo, two adults and two teens. Monica and Danilo were friendly, thoughtful and helpful hosts. Monica even brought fresh plums from the garden and a jar of jam, and helped us do laundry midweek. Our only regret was leaving their sweet cat Dolores behind. We’d happily recommend La Locanda del Moro. We spent much of the week on the terrace, with its gorgeous views, or by the infinity pool. The comfortable loungers, pool towels and umbrellas were ours to use. Inside, the two bedrooms were well furnished, the living and kitchen area was combined, and everything was very clean. The bathroom had handmade soaps. We also appreciated the green touches, including solar power, recycling and composting with the neighbors’ chickens. For an adventure, book with Danilo: canyoning with his team gave us a great morning on the river and rocks.

A little paradise, with gorgeous views right outside and plenty of peace and quiet. It works just as well as a base for exploring as it does for relaxing. The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful, ready to assist with just about anything. Six out of five.
