We were welcomed warmly, and the view is wonderful. There’s a real lemon grove here. The place had lots of handy extras, including beer in the fridge, an air cooler and a Fire TV Stick. It was fairly clean, though a little dated, and still a good place to stay. Be aware that the parking spot on the roof only fits a small car, around Smart, Polo or Golf size. For anything larger, I’d definitely use the spaces by the church, 180 meters away.

The garden and the view are lovely, and the place is comfortable, with everything you need to cook and relax. Getting around on foot was the hard part for us. We struggled to catch the bus, and otherwise there are over 300 steps plus who knows how many streets to climb. You need to be in really good shape. By car, or if you follow the bus schedule, it’s fine. The bathroom also needs attention: mold on the tiles needs cleaning, and the rusty heater should be replaced.

I’ve already stayed here twice, and I’ll definitely return. It’s a pretty house in Pieve Alta, with a garden looking out over the sea. The place is so quiet, you can wake up to that view and just enjoy the peace. The hostess is very kind and lovely.

Reaching the house takes some effort, with all the winding roads and stairs. The houses are built at different levels, so there are countless steps. But the old-fashioned rooms, the atmosphere of another era and that view over the area make it a charming stop, almost like being in a romantic novel. Inside, there’s a living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and an extra room.
