B&B Dagnano Basso

We felt right at home in this peaceful, green place, with lots of animals around. The owners were wonderful and welcoming. Mrs. Carmen is a fantastic woman who cooked us a generous, delicious dinner from appetizer through dessert, with help from her grandson. He also does everything at the B&B, and was just as lovely and friendly as his grandma. If you’re looking to relax, this is the place. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Once you pass through the industrial area, it feels like you suddenly arrive at a farm. There are horses, donkeys, peacocks, pigeons, and goats for children to enjoy, and they can run safely in the garden. The rooms are clean and well cared for. The bathroom has modern fittings and a large shower, though there’s no bidet. Guests can use a shared kitchen, get cold drinks, and store their own toiletries. Breakfast was plentiful, tasty, and thoughtfully prepared, and the owners were courteous and helpful. The one drawback for us was that the place felt a little intrusive. It’s a few kilometers beyond Pieve Santo Stefano and can be reached by car or on foot, though the route follows a state road, so take care.

After an 11-hour motorcycle trip, I stopped here alone to get some rest. It was so relaxing, with animals all around, including a lovely cat who kept following me for cuddles. The room really did feel like home, and breakfast was hearty. Before I left, the very kind lady even offered me sandwiches and water for the road. She was like a mother, what a wonderful person! The owner is fantastic, and I highly recommend the place. I’m attaching some photos that I’m sure, I think, she’ll remember me from. I promised to come back because it’s worth it.

For my wife and me, coming from the city, this place was a breath of fresh air. Carmen, Raul, Roberto, and the rest of the team run the B&B with real passion and care, and that positive spirit comes through. The grounds are magnificent, with horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, and two peacocks, all kept clean and tidy, even stylish, no wonder they’re from Bolzano! There’s a lovely breakfast room, and plenty of green space for sports or a run. Excellent value for the quality. Five stars and honors to B&B Dagnano Basso, keep it up!
