You’ll need a car, but this hotel makes a handy base for seeing the Bay of Napoli, the Sorrento peninsula, and the Amalfi coast. Amalfi, Napoli, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Sorrento, and Capri are all fairly close by. The hotel is up in the hills In Piemonte, above the pasta capital Gragnano, and many rooms look out over the bay of Napoli and mont Vesuvius. It’s a family-run place, now in its third generation, and the heartfelt service and passion for their work really show. You can expect to be well looked after.

Good value for a night, with plenty of parking on site, recently renovated rooms, and a Michelin star restaurant. The furniture felt dated, though, and had a slight wax smell.

A lovely resort for unwinding, and very friendly for kids. The staff were amazing, welcoming, and attentive to the details. They made a wonderful effort for my friend's birthday. The food was incredible, and there’s a great wine selection. The sommelier really knows their stuff. Massages are available too, as long as you book ahead.

What stayed with us most was how warmly everyone welcomed our family. It felt like home straight away, and dinners were a highlight, with a varied menu full of local flavors and ingredients. Pimonte is a charming, picturesque village, and everyone we met there was friendly and kind. We spent two memorable nights at Resort Sant’Angelo. It’s surrounded by nature and fresh mountain air, so it feels peaceful and quiet even though it’s well placed for day trips to Positano, Amalfi, Sorrento, Capri, Pompeii, and Naples. A tranquil base for exploring the Amalfi Coast and beyond, with heartfelt hospitality and authentic food.
