We last came in 2019 and returned with family, but since the management changed, the experience has gone downhill badly. The setting and view are lovely, though you can hear the highway. Service was okay, but could have been much better, and the digital menu works but isn’t clear enough for everyone. The food has changed too, and isn’t what it used to be. The menu is more limited now, and the two portions of porchetta I ordered arrived cold. There weren’t necessarily problems beyond that, but I personally won’t be coming back.

The hosts are really kind, the rooms are lovely, and the place has a real Mediterranean feel. Their English isn’t very good. Breakfast was a very particular Italian spread, with cakes, yogurt, and orange juice. The fridge in our room didn’t work properly. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to try dinner.

The highway is only about 200 meters away, and the traffic noise carries on all night. The air-conditioning didn’t work, and the 12" TV looks like it’s from the 90s. The reception door stays locked during regular daytime hours, so you have to knock and wait, then wait some more. When the owner eventually answered, he smelled of alcohol. It seemed like he might have an addiction problem, which is sad. He came across as caring only about the money, the opposite of the usual Italian hospitality. I can’t recommend this place to anyone except my worst enemy.

We’ve had dinner here two years running, and we’re so glad we found it. The owner is a lovely person, and even gave us a first course to try. The food is excellent, and the prices are so affordable they feel old-fashioned. It’s a fabulous setting too, in a stone farmhouse surrounded by peace and nature. Highly recommended!
