Agriturismo Chalet Fogajard

We found the people here the best: the owner, his family, and the staff were friendly, caring, capable, and very responsive. They speak Italian, German, English, Spanish, Russian, and Catalan, and perhaps other languages too. There are only six rooms, which gives the place a cosy feel. The sauna and steam room in the basement were a welcome way to warm up and relax after hiking, so we booked them every day. We also appreciated having no televisions in the rooms. The internet worked well, though, so a full digital detox was out of reach. 🙂 We came to the Dolomites to hike, and there are a few routes straight from Fogajard, including one to the waterfalls. A car is useful for reaching a wider selection of trails, and getting to the house can be tricky without one. Navigation sometimes fails, so watch for the signs at the turns and forks after leaving the main asphalt road. We booked breakfast and dinner each day, which I recommend. The meals were delicious and interesting, and the chef never repeated a dish during our week. About two-thirds of the dishes were new to me. The portions were almost too much, and sometimes the girls couldn't finish, though our hikes helped work off some of that food. We picked Fogajard on friends' recommendation and were glad we did.

The surprise dinners were a real treat, and the homemade food was delicious. Eduardo was attentive throughout, checking that we had what we needed. The chalet itself is cosy and thoughtfully put together, with beautiful mountain views. We also made time for the wellness area during our two wonderful days at Chalet Fogajard.

We left feeling grateful for this precious time, and for everything the family shared with us. Their love of nature, well-being, and human connection comes through in all the thoughtful details and in the beautiful surroundings. The welcoming warmth and energy made us feel at home from the start. It was a place to dream, disconnect, and reconnect, and an inspiration too. Grazie di tutto famiglia.

Dinner was delicious each night, and the service was great. We booked meals for our stay and were glad we did. This peaceful boutique hotel is a lovely place to take a break from everyday life and enjoy the Dolomites. From our first minute, the owner welcomed us warmly, and the stunning view and quiet atmosphere made a big impression. We had a fantastic stay.
