Hotel Esperia

We got a room with a lovely view and could hear the sea at night. The private beach made for a great stay, especially at such an affordable price ❤️

Never again. The view, the lovely Neapolitan girl at the entrance and the distance to the centre were the only positives, and they don't make up for the rest. We paid 145 euros and thought about leaving right away, but would have lost our money. We won't return and absolutely wouldn't recommend it. How can a place like this stay open? The room was old, poorly kept and smelled unpleasant. The bathroom drains gave off a persistent sewer smell, and the shower bell had years of dirt built up on it. The property overall was run-down and neglected: several panes in doors and windows were cracked, and the steps leading up to the hotel were broken and dangerous. The cleanliness was awful. There were dead cockroaches on the floor at the reception level entrance, and the reception bathroom was filthy and in terrible shape. The beach, supposedly one of the highlights, was covered with seaweed piled against the walls. The worn, torn awnings hung in a dreadful state. Sunbeds and an umbrella cost 20 euros per person, so we chose the public beach instead. The beach bar was poorly stocked, and the few ice creams in the freezer were covered in frost. The place was generally dirty and badly kept, with unclean tables and chairs and lots of ants on the ground. A real disappointment.
