Villaggio Orizzonte

The apartments are clean and seem fairly new, and the location is quite nice, though there’s a power plant very close by in the view. The private shore is about 1 km away, and it’s clean, pleasant and well served. The kiosk deserves a special mention for its good range of meals and cocktails. The village train that’s meant to take people back and forth to the beach is often crowded, late and unreliable, so in July and August it’s basically useless. More frequent service in those months would make a real difference, since the walk to the beach is in full sun and quite a hassle. Still, a good experience overall.

The pools could do with an update, and the restaurants were our main letdown: pricey, with food that wasn't great. There are plenty of other places to eat nearby, though. The resort itself was lovely, quiet, and clean. We found driving to the beach easiest, under five minutes away, but there's a regular bus too.

We really liked the bungalow, and the staff were so friendly and ready to help. Tamara, who speaks Dutch, did a lot for us during our stay. Dogs are welcome in almost all areas, and the little train that goes nearly to the dog beach, Pasca Glam, was handy. You don't see many tourists from other countries, but if that doesn't bother you, we'd definitely recommend staying here.

The main pool area and the grounds look nice, and the restaurant is laid out well. The food's variety and quality, especially the meat and fish, don't match the price. Accommodation varies: some units are in poor condition, while others look recently renovated, and the cost seems to reflect what's offered. Reception could use more patient, friendlier staff. Our hair dryer was broken, and our request to have it sorted was ignored. We also couldn't get some TV channels; that request for help was ignored too.
