The owner was friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good, especially the homemade cake. The B&B is fairly close to the center. The room was small and had no real style or character, and the bed was uncomfortable, with mattresses that need replacing.

The rooms were comfortable and clean, and breakfast was excellent, prepared by the woman who runs the place. She can also give advice on getting around Matera and the surrounding area. A fantastic B&B just steps from the center of the Sassi of Matera.

We came to Matera for my birthday, and my partner was trying to find a small cake for me to have with breakfast the next morning. When Mrs. Andreina saw how desperate he was, she kindly offered to make something herself. It was all delicious and just right. That thoughtful gesture, along with the good location, clean property, and kind, helpful host, left us with a lovely memory. We hope to come back and stay again. I should have written this review over a year ago, but for various reasons I only remembered today. We’re very sorry about that.

We had a perfect stay in Matera. The location was great, near the historic center, and the room was comfortable and clean. Andreina was kind and helpful, and breakfast was delicious.

Andreina was a wonderful host. The room was clean, tidy, and well equipped, and B&B Casa Mia is in a great spot, close to the Sassi on a quiet alley. It’s also a ten-minute walk from the train station. We had a perfect stay, and I’d highly recommend it!
