Roberto was a welcoming, friendly host who helped us park when we arrived and shared useful information about Matera's history, sights and activities. The apartment is beautifully finished and has everything you need for a stay in the city. It's centrally located, with a lovely view across the Sasso Caveoso and an uninterrupted view of Chiesa di Santa Maria di Idris. Would recommend.

The bedroom gets lovely morning light, with views of the Murgia Park and the hill with its two rock churches. It makes the day start with a smile. This little gem is in the heart of the Sassi, in an excellent spot in the Sasso Caveoso. Roberto has renovated and furnished the apartment with real care, and made clever use of the few square meters so it has everything you need.

The apartment is beautiful and sits in a stunning spot in the heart of the Sassi. Roberto was friendly and knowledgeable, and gave us what was practically a mini-tour of Matera while walking with us from the parking lot to the apartment.

Maria Paola took such good care of us, even asking what filling we'd like in our croissant that evening. They also arranged parking for us right in front of the property when we arrived. The ancient caves have been renovated with great skill and taste. A dream property. A+++
