Hotel Alessandro Della Spina

We arrived at midnight without a booking, and the receptionist was really kind about letting us in. Great price, too. The room was very basic, but the shower had great pressure. Highly recommend.

The family running the hotel were very hospitable and friendly, and it showed in the service. We had two clean rooms for four nights. They were very nice, classically decorated, and unusually large. There's a small car park, which worked for us while exploring the region by car. Thanks for a great stay. If we visit the region again, we'll come back without hesitation. Highly recommended.

I've seen other reviews mention a recurring problem, the extremely rude man who works at night. My husband and I arrived tired from our trip and got a cynical, rude welcome. Every word made him seem even more unpleasant, and he left us with a terrible first impression. His attitude ruined our experience in Pisa. He treats guests with disdain, which is unacceptable at a hotel. This isn't the first complaint and probably won't be the last. If you need to check in at night, I recommend avoiding this place unless you want to be treated with complete disrespect.

We found the hotel at the last second, and it was easy to get to, near the central bus station. A taxi ride to the airport took just five minutes. The staff were kind and friendly, and willing to help. Our room was clean, fresh, and big enough, with a comfortable bed. They had two pillow options, high and low, which was a nice idea.
