We arrived at the hotel in Pisa around 11:50 PM after Italy’s nationwide train strike cancelled our train from Venice. We had to rearrange the journey by coach, despite booking and paying two weeks ahead for a four-bed room for our family of four, including our son and daughter, for the night of 8th July. No one was there to help us. We tried calling the hotel many times and even asked nearby shopkeepers for help, but got no response. The door stayed shut. We waited outside with our luggage and family for nearly an hour and a half, trying every way we could to reach someone. With nowhere else to go that late, we spent the whole night at Pisa train station. It was the worst travel experience we’ve had. Agoda thankfully refunded us in full, but I’d never recommend this hotel. The lack of communication and basic hospitality in a difficult situation was unacceptable. Avoid it if you’re planning to stay in Pisa.

The room looked much better in the listings, and the bed was actually two single beds that weren’t very comfortable. The location was great, though, right by a lovely square with plenty of bars and places to eat, and about 15 minutes from the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

A nice base, with clean, tidy rooms and good places to eat within walking distance, along with the Leaning Tower. We had a family room just off the kitchen, so it could get a little noisy first thing in the morning. The alley to the entrance sometimes smelled a bit, but the location was great and we enjoyed the stay.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and beautiful, with a high ceiling and a view of the square. Excellent location, 5/5.

I’ve stayed in the C flat several times. The apartment is great, the owners are lovely, and the location by Piazza delle Vettovaglie is perfect. It isn’t even that noisy despite being right next to the square.
