The owner was very kind and marked lots of places on the map, explaining where everything was. The apartment looked like the photos, and the bed was very comfortable, but the place could use some renovation. The area seemed a bit uncomfortable to walk around in at night, with quite a few people on the street I wouldn’t want to run into. There was no heating apart from the radiator in the bathroom, so the pillow and blanket smelled damp. The towels were mismatched and stained, apparently by chemicals rather than dirt, and could do with replacing. The fireplace made the room feel cozy and helped with the damp feeling, especially with the dark walls. The kitchen had the dishes we needed and a coffee machine, though the sink faucet pointed downward and made washing hands or filling the kettle awkward. The location is handy, near the train station, shops, and within walking distance of both the airport, about 20 minutes away on foot, and the tower. We stayed three nights. The apartment wasn’t bad, but for the same price there are much better options.

Michele from Michele guest house was so welcoming and helpful. He even marked the Pisa sights on a map and pointed us toward La Buca, a lovely restaurant we’d definitely recommend. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and had everything we could need. Five stars, and don’t miss the chance to stay here.

Michele was the best host, happy to chat and answer questions about Pisa or nearby cities like Siena & Firenze. The room and bathroom were both big, with plenty of space for two, and breakfast was a nice way to start the day. I’d totally recommend staying here.

This was a terrible experience with the host. We booked through a third party and had trouble finding the "Hotel," so I called the number on the reservation for directions. He sounded annoyed. After a few words, we agreed he’d meet us in the street to show us where to park, since we’d reserved one of the parking places he offered. As we started parking, he knocked on the window and acted very aggressively. When we asked what the problem was, he said he didn’t know how many guests he’d already welcomed, then left us in the middle of the street with "Averiderci". After that we couldn’t reach him. I was 600km from home. Thanks to booking.com, we won’t have any costs, but this guy is a risk to your trip.

Really friendly host who knew the area well. The accommodation was amazingly clean, especially the bathroom. I’ve never seen one this spotless, not even my own when it was new!
