The hostess doesn't speak any English, but her sons were happy to translate everything. Great value for money, newly refurbished, and there's a small kitchen too. From the place, you get an authentic view of the old church across the street. My best recommendations for both Antica Dimora Pellegrino and Pistoia, a town full of nice people.

The animals seemed welcoming, but I wouldn't bring my dog here because it didn't feel like people were welcome either. The woman doesn't speak English, was strange, and seemed to have a poor grasp of any language, including Italian. She was extremely unprofessional, and yelling at people seemed to be the first rule of this hotel. Worst time of my life in a hotel. There are much better places in the area.

A warm, comfortable place to stay even in winter, and they welcome you every time.
