Agriturismo Eco-Bio Villa Vacasio

Villa Vacasio is only a short drive from Pitigliano, and it was such a comfortable stop on our trip through Tuscany. The pool worked really well for families, and we especially enjoyed the homemade breakfast prepared by the owner’s mother. Our room was clean, the hosts were very welcoming, and it was good to see how committed the family living there is to making the whole property ecologically sustainable.

We only stayed one night, but would happily come back. The big pool and spacious grounds sit in lovely Tuscan countryside, and the family-run place is kept with real care. Breakfast was included, with a buffet in the dining room as well as dishes you could choose from a menu. We also had their four-course Italian dinner for 35 euros per person, drinks excluded. It began with bruschetta and homemade toppings, then handmade pasta. The meat option for the second course was chicken, while the vegetarian option was a selection of cheeses. Sweet cottage cheese and fruit finished the meal. Totally worth it.

We were there in September, and it felt like an oasis. The people were amazing, the rooms were clean with high ceilings, and there’s a great pool. The food was out of this world, especially the pasta, and the wine was tasty too. Breakfast came with lots to eat, and those delicious jams, my lord! Just be ready for plenty of lizards and flying bugs. They don’t deliver the wine or jam, and I’d love to know if that service becomes available. A net on the room door would help too. The air conditioning wasn’t powerful enough to cool the room, so we wanted to open the door in the evenings, but there were lots of bugs and lizards around. A million thanks to the amazing Ciacci family! 😅❤️

We had so much fun on one of our best ever MTB rides here, and Pitigliano is close by and a great town to visit. The farmhouse itself is peaceful, with clean, lovely rooms. Lucilla and her family make everything fresh using produce from their farm, and the cuisine is AMAZING. We took home some of their oil, which honestly is the best we’ve ever had, along with wine. We love this place!
