My family and I felt completely at ease here, and they treated us like family. This agriturismo in the Tuscan Maremma is surrounded by olive trees, woods, and orchards, a lovely setting for a break from daily life, while still not too far from Pitigliano. It’s simply furnished and clean, and the owner’s young grandchildren manage it with care. They offer excellent local products like oil, jams, plums, peaches, cherry syrup, apricots, and more.

The bed was the main letdown: a very thin mattress on a wooden plank, though the comfort was beyond belief. The food was quite good, with quality local products, but there seemed to be only limited use of homegrown ingredients. I would have liked a coffee machine, since not everyone likes a moka pot. I stayed in this characteristic early-1900s Tuscan farmhouse, now offering half-board. The location is beautiful, and my room was clean, with a lovely fireplace that I don’t think was working, plus some period furniture that seemed purely decorative.

Nicola’s hospitality is excellent, and he makes you feel like part of the family. The rooms are cozy and clean, in countryside so quiet you mainly hear crickets and cicadas.

It’s a simple place, just right for people who love peace and quiet. The agriturismo is surrounded by nature, and the owners are genuinely welcoming. Their jams and fruit concentrates are fantastic, and in the evening they serve a very good aperitif with typical products.
