Giorgia House

We left the room and the property just a couple of hours after arriving. It’s in an old building, the location was a little inconvenient, and finding parking in August was difficult. The room was renovated and very clean, and Kevin, the owner, was kind. Still, we noticed a musty, damp smell as soon as we arrived, followed by a sewer odor that seemed to be coming from outside. My mother has a heart condition and my brother has asthma, so we felt the air wasn’t healthy for them. I believe the owner knows about these problems, and hope he deals with them someday.

The owner was very kind and helpful, and even assured me there’d be gluten-free breakfast for my daughter, who has celiac disease. We had a wonderful stay. The recently renovated room was new, modern, and functional. There’s no parking at the property, but you can leave your car on the public road right outside, where parking is free. The location is great, about a five-minute walk from the main square and ten minutes from the sea.

Kevin, the owner, deserves a special mention for being so kind and attentive to what his guests need. The place is in the upper part of Pizzo and has recently been renovated inside. There are two spacious rooms, tastefully furnished, plus a shared kitchen and breakfast area. A short walk through the charming alleys takes you down to the square and its panoramic view.

Mr. Rocco was welcoming and helpful, and the house was spotless and had what we needed. We only spent one night in Pizzo, but had a lovely stay at Giorgia House. It’s on the main thoroughfare, so you can get there by car, and the steps just in front lead easily to Pizzo’s main square. Recommended.
