Fattoria Di Cinciano

The whole winery visit was amazing, from the atmosphere to the wine. You can tell the people who work there love what they do. A special thanks to our guide Angelina.

The front desk staff were so welcoming, always smiling, and everyone we met was friendly and attentive. The estate itself is charming, peaceful, authentic, and beautifully kept in the Tuscan countryside. Breakfast was lovely too. It wasn’t a big buffet, but everything was fresh, high quality, and thoughtfully chosen. One thing I’d suggest is booking a higher room category if you want a view or a more refined room. We had a standard room in a small separate pavilion away from the main building. It was clean, but felt like a converted annex, with little insulation and a style that didn’t match the elegance of the rest of the property. It seemed more like a house divided into basic rooms than purpose-built accommodation. The hotel restaurant was closed the night we arrived, so they kindly recommended nearby Ristolio, within walking distance. That was convenient after a long day, but I found the dining disappointing and wouldn’t personally recommend it.

Cinciano is a peaceful, authentic place where Tuscany’s character comes through in the setting and the food. It’s the sort of spot you need to experience with all your senses, since words can’t quite convey its particular charm. A lovely place to relax and enjoy the spirit of Tuscany. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

The views across the Chianti wine region are amazing, and the location is excellent. The staff were helpful with suggestions for activities and places to eat in the nearby town. We stayed in an apartment guest room with its own kitchen. The Michelin ranked restaurant’s portions seemed far too small for the price, so we didn’t eat there. They were also very stingy with the Nespresso packets, limiting us to one per person per day, and we had to buy more at the wine bar for 1 Euro each. Give me a break. I do recommend buying a bottle of wine there and taking the full wine tour and tasting. Our guide was great, and the wine was excellent. San Gimignano is worth visiting, and we enjoyed hiking around that area.
