The location made it easy to explore Tuscany by car. We visited Siena, San Gimignano, Florence, and wineries in the Chianti region. Giulia and her family were perfect hosts for my husband's and my off-season getaway. The villa is gorgeous, built from traditional Tuscan stone, sturdy and very private from other guests. The scenery around it is idyllic and peaceful, and I loved waking up to birds in the nearby olive grove. It was too cold to use the pool when we were there, but it must be glorious in summer, framed by cypress trees and looking out over the Tuscan hills. I highly recommend taking a cooking class with Giulia and trying their delicious olive oil, pressed from trees grown on site. I'm already daydreaming about going back!

A first-rate farmhouse right in the heart of Chianti. Seeing it for yourself says it all. A place for nature and relaxation, with a pool, holistic massages to unwind, and sports massages to ease sore muscles.
