We come back every year and absolutely love the rooms, the view, the pool, and especially the host, Enrico, who’s one of the friendliest people you’ll meet. It’s a really cute hotel at the top of a hill, with typical Tuscan furniture. The road is beautiful, though unpaved and uphill. If you enjoy the real Tuscan feel and aren’t expecting a five-star hotel, this is a perfect place.

The rooms were so cold when we stayed in November that we had to sleep in our winter jackets, and there was no WIFI in the apartment. They also charged us extra to use a towel, literally 85% of the cost of one night. From what other comments say, it seems they used the same trick with us about late check-in: we arrived at 8 p.m. and were told the owner was away, so we had to pay more. This place is a complete rip-off and way overpriced.

The owner was friendly, sociable, and helpful, and the setting is lovely, quiet, and remote, with a great view across fields and hills. Just be aware the dirt and gravel road up to the property may not suit every vehicle. We had booked four nights but left after one. The room was clean, but the place is very old and run down, and a lot of things barely work. The kitchen, bathroom, beds, and appliances have seen so much age and use that cleaning alone can’t make them feel clean. With some renovation, the property could be amazing. If you’re fine with very basic living, it might not bother you. For us, even after giving it one night, it was enough reason to leave. This is meant as a description of the condition in Sep. 2024, not a bad review for its own sake. With some care and renovation, it really could have it all.

This is the first bad feedback I’ve ever written. They charge €15 per person for sheets, on top of the room price. It’s only mentioned in the host information, so you don’t find out until you arrive, and Booking is fine with that. Enrico wasn’t a nice host, and the rooms look much, much worse than the photos. Don’t put yourself through it.
